Delivery Man, It's a Surprisingly Good Movie for the Family

Back in July, I was one of 533 bloggers to debut the trailer for Delivery Man, in honor of the 533 children that Vince Vaughn's character fathers as the result of a mix up at the sperm bank.

Delivery Man opens at theaters all over today. I have to say the movie was not really what I expected. I thought it would be a more adult humor kind of comedy given the main story line involving a sperm bank mix up. It certainly had some innuendos and such, but really it was more of a family movie than a hard comedy. That's not a bad thing at all. In fact it was really good.

It was a sweet story about a man that always seems to be getting into some kind of trouble. David Wozniak (Vaughn) is the kind of guy that can't seem to do anything right, but everyone loves him just the same. When he finds out that he is the father of 533 children that are wanting to know who their father is, he is stuck trying to to hide who he is while at the same time trying to discover who his children are. It makes for some funny and tender moments.

Delivery Man is a sweet movie. While it's not the laugh a minute movie I was expecting, it was still quite good. I don't think it will be winning any awards but, it's a good heart warming story with great values. It's worth the trip to the theater, and it might be a good one to see with your older kids.

If nothing else, it'll make you grateful to only have to buy popcorn for your few children. Can you imagine having 533?!

I attended a free screening of this film for the purposes of completing this review.
