13; Sexy, and Damn Lucky!

Today's Writer's Workshop Prompt is: Write about a memorable babysitting job.

I had full C's, curvy hips and a bathing suit that had more skin than material. I was hot as hell and I was only 13.

It was July 4th weekend, and I had fallen into a great babysitting job. We would be staying in the penthouse suite at a hotel on the Beach. My job was to play with the 6 year old during the day, and for a couple hours while the parents had drinks at the bar. After that I was free to do "whatever."

The guys were 2 floors below us, on the balcony when I spotted them. They were muscular, tan, cute and, so dreamy, and they were college boys. I had to get them to notice me!

I strutted all around that hotel with the little boy in tow. He thought we were on a big adventure. We played and laughed while the guys watched from the pool. I could feel their eyes on me, and I loved every minute of the attention, but I pretended not to notice.

That evening, after the boy was in bed, I left the room to head out to the pool. The guys were there, and they came right over to me to talk. We talked and laughed, and before I knew it, I was in their room.

The offered me a beer, which I graciously accepted, as if this was a normal situation for me. I sipped on the beer, trying to keep my face from making a bitter fish face because this stuff was disgusting! As he sat on the bed next to me, he leaned in to kiss me. This college guy was totally in to me!

We made out for awhile, his hands were all over me. I tried to stop one hand from sliding into my bathing suit, and soon the other hand was trying the same thing. This had to end! This had gone to far!

So, I did all I could do, I told him I was on my period. No one would want to go near that, right?!

Wrong! He didn't care! He pointed me toward the bathroom, and said he would wait for me. Well, maybe he didn't care, but I did! I made my way to the bathroom, and just before I turned in the bathroom door, I opened the outside door to leave. He came over to stop me. He asked me where I was going and he said he thought we were having fun. I felt so bad. I had to tell him. It was the only way I was gonna get out of there.

"I have to get back, or I'll get in trouble. I'm only 13."

His face went white with a look of terror as he backed away from me and the door swung shut.

I remember an intense feeling of humiliation at having to tell him my age, and even as I walked back up the stairs to my room, I thought of turning back.

Looking back on it now, as a mother of 2 daughters, I just can't believe how young I was. I can't imagine my girls putting themselves in that situation. I was in a hotel room with 2 grown men! I didn't tell them my age, and I led them to believe I was older. What was I thinking?!

And, what if something more had happened?! Would they have been branded as child predators?! How would my actions have affected their lives?!

This one little weekend of babysitting at the beach was so much more. I wanted to be noticed, to be admired, and I was, but I let it go too far.

My most memorable babysitting job: I was 13, and I got lucky.

  1. Wow! At 13 I looked just that, 13. I was a late bloomer LOL.

That is a scary thought, especially when you now have kids of your own and since so much (though maybe not that much) has changed when it comes to early sexual activity.

  2. I was freaking out when reading your story ... thinking "Please have a happy ending. Please have a happy ending." Scary what we let ourselves do when we don't know better, isn't it?

Glad it had a happy ending!

  3. Wow. I am slightly jealous of how hot you must have been at 12. Im still barel at a full c. I didnt even get to a A until my senior year of highschool and to this day I get mistaken for 16 or younger.

BUT I am not jealous of this situation and I am glad you got out of there. How scary.

  4. Whew... you just barely made it outta there! I'm glad that you did though.

My daughter looks similar to you and she's 14. She hates it. Absolutely hates it. I think a lot of it is because her friends are not shaped like her at all and she stands out because of it.

  5. Wow Amethyst, I am with the others...gripped! You are a great story teller. I think now, like you do. I can't believe some of the things I did that didn't turn out bad. Thanks for sharing...It is one of those that should be posted for all girls to read! :) but then they probably would think you made it up to "teach" them a lesson. *sigh*
