Aloha Friday, Hunger Games

Today is the first day to see Hunger Games in the theatre. 3 weeks ago, I could care less about this movie. It looked like a sci-fi teen love story, which is not my type of thing.  But, my friend was just raving about the books, so I had to give it a try. I admit I was still sceptical so I got the free sample for my Nook, first, and by the time I reached the end of the sample, I couldn't get the book downloaded fast enough! I was hooked!

It does take place in the future, but it is more about strength and fighting for what's right, than cheesy sci-fi junk. The book doesn't feel like sci-fi, at all. I'm just hoping the movie can pull off how amazing this book is. (I'm still upset about how Hollywood ruined the Twilight series! Great books, horrible movie!)

My question for you: Will you go see the Hunger Games in the Theatre?

  2. LOL... great minds think alike. We have the same question :)

I probably will not go see it in the theater because I have not read the books... YET!

  3. I'll probably wait until the frenzy dies down before going to see the movie, but yes, I want to see it. :) I just bought the first book earlier this week since Princess Nagger has been bugging me to let her read it for several weeks now. I figure I'll read the book before going to see the movie. :)

  4. No. I don't have the money to do so.

    Happy weekend!

  5. I am still debating whether or not I want to see it. I loved the books, but not sure I could handle the intense nature in a movie.
