Music Monday, Rolling Stones Still Going Strong

Happy Music Monday!

Let's talk Rolling Stones...They are by far, my favorite band. Of course, everyone knows they are celebrating 50 years with a tour this year (which, I unfortunately don't get to see.) I can be happy with knowing that I have seen them in concert during that 50 years. It was in 1989, I was 16, and it was the first concert I went to without parents, and Wow! I was hooked!

After that concert I made my grandmother rent every video about the Stones that I could find at the Video Store (remember those? They seem like an ancient memory, now.) My favorite of those rentals was this.

Of the many Rolling Stones songs that I love, Dead Flowers is my favorite. I would have loved to been in Philly last week for this performance with Brad Paisley. Very cool!

And, this past weekend, the Stones finally performed in Glastonbury. I can't wait to see video from that great event.

Have a great week full of music. Check out some more Music Monday at Xmas Dolly's and...
Keep on rocking!

Enjoy life with all it's music, and don't forget to laugh.

  1. I definitely remember the video store (we still have one or two where I'm from, but they do seem like a distant memory when you think about it.) I love the Stones, but I think The Doors are my favorite band from that era. How cool that you got to see them! I never have, and probably never will. It's okay, though...I've seen many, MANY bands that my life would not be complete without seeing, so it's all good :)

    Just here via Dolly's :)

  2. P.S. I'm going to stick around and have a look at your blog. I'm trying to figure out how to incorporate music into all of my posts regardless of subject matter. I'm going to see how you do it!

  3. Holy Cow you actually got to see them? I am sooooo jealous! That had to be one packed house for sure. I haven't heard these two in like forever. My internet service just had celebrities children's pictures, and I just saw jagger's daughters they are gorgeous! I've never seen them before. Have a great day!

  6. The Stones aren't my favorite, but I do appreciate they have been around like forever. They are definitely legendary and will be long remembered even after the dust settles someday, but for now they will rock n' roll with every breath they have and that's rather cool! Thanks for sharing with the 4M crew!
