Music Monday, All About the Grammy Awards

Well, the Grammy Awards for 2015 have now been given out. I watched a lot of it, but not all because Walking Dead was on at 9:00, and well, it's THE WALKING DEAD! I couldn't miss that! I did see a lot of the awards, and I was quite disappointed in the performances. I felt like the show kicked off with a rockin' AC/DC, but slowed to a rather dull pace after that. I'm not a fan of Arianna Grande, and I didn't care for Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett's performance. I just think much of the show felt flat to me. I'm curious what everyone else thought.

Were you surprised by any of the wins? Pharell's win surprised me and so did Beck's.

I enjoyed Miranda Lambert's performance of Little Red Wagon.

I also liked Sam Smith's Stay With Me. I just love his voice. It has such passion to it.

AC/DC is always a great way to start a show and it is an awesome way to start this second week of February!

Have an awesome week!

  1. I"m with you I loved Sam Smith's performance, him and Mary J make a great duet. Beck? Maybe it is my age? I never hear anything about Beck, one of his songs was a sample song on a PC my family bought back in the early 2000s. I didn't know who he was then and I have no idea who he is now.

    1. I think Beck is multi-talented, but I hadn't really heard anything about him leading up to the Grammys, so it just seemed to come out of nowhere. I'm sure it is well deserved, it was just surprising.
