Monday Minute: Shh Quit it! I'm trying to be Serious!

Monday Minute

Describe your life in one word  Theatrical

Is there something you wish you had learned how to do as a child? Dance. I can shake your groove thing, yeah yeah  but try to get me to follow dance steps? and forget it! When I was 3 my mom put me in a ballet class for a day (I'm thinking it must've been free and she needed a babysitter.) Anyway, one day of ballet class does not a ballerina make...but that doesn't stop me from leaping across the living room with the grace of a moose leaping Swan Lake. C'mon over I'll show ya.

Who has been the biggest influence on your life? This is a hard one. I think everyone in our lives influences us in some way. From friends to family to complete strangers I have learned to be me. My grandparents taught me to appreciate music of many eras from the Andrew Sisters ♪Boogie woogie bugle boy from company B♪  to Bing Crosby ♪Let me call you Sweetheart♪ My Stepfather taught me about English food and Irish Music  ♪The girls won't leave the boys alone♪ (Clancy Brothers) My husband has taught me to love and be loved, ♪L is for the way you look at me O is for th eonly one I see...♪ (Nat King Cole) and my kids influence me to want to be a better me. Even my mother taught me some things which I wrote about here.

What is your greatest dream/hope/aspiration? My greatest hope is for my children's happiness. I aspire to be a strong role model for them and to teach them the importance of having love in your life especially the love of self. ♪I believe the children are our future, teach them well and let them lead the way♪ (Whitney Houston)

and finally...

Do you believe you have reached your potential? Why/why not? No. I think I've done what I've needed to do to make sure my children have been provided for, but I have not reached my potential. I still have things I want to do, books I want to write, and songs I want to sing. To quote Robert Frost: I have "miles to go before I sleep."

♪These dreams go one when I close my eyes
Every second of the night, I live another life♪

  1. I don't know what was going through my head when I came up with these questions...didn't mean to be so deep...I think it was the "what-if" question from last week! :) Although, I have to give credit to Ian for the last question!

I love your songs...my mind works like that at times, too!

Thanks for linking up! And thanks for stopping by my blog! :)
