Aloha Friday, Best of the Year

Yay, it's Friday! Normally, Friday means taking it easy, but not at this time of year. This time of year for me at work means writing performance evaluations, 16 of them. Ugh! They are time consuming enough, but to make matters worse, I got a late start on them this year, so I am under much pressure to get them done! So, while I can't kick back and relax at work today, at least there's Aloha Friday in Blogland.

So here's my question for you:

What was the best thing(s) about this year?

Answer in a comment, and then head to Kailani's for more Aloha Friday fun.

My answer: Despite all the horrible illnesses and financial difficulties, I survived it. I'm alive and can look back on many great moments, and smile, because the hard times may stand out in our minds, but it's the good times that live in our heart!

Have a Happy New Year!

  1. The best thing about this year was watching my son trust the world enough to smile again, watching him reach out to the man in our lives with love and develop a relationship that many bio families would be proud of. He's still nervous about loving too much, and wonders what Rich would think, and never wants to be hurting again (who does, I tell him!) but he is stepping up and being a man about it.

  7. I know there were so many moments. Right now it's just being able to be with my children as a SAHM with things so hard financially.

    Aloha.

  11. Hmmm. That's a hard one! Maybe watching my youngest daughter spin flags during the half time show and getting to see her perform in the Georgia Dome.
