Music Monday, Let's Get in the Holiday Spirit! #MusicMonday

It's December 1! Let the Yuletide Season begin! I just love this time of year. I love the lights, and decorations and food, and I especially love the music! It's Music Monday, so, let's hear some holiday music.

But, first, a fun fact. Did you know that Jingle Bells was originally written for Thanksgiving?! It's true! It was written in 1857 to be performed by children at a church in Boston for Thanksgiving. Everyone liked it so much that the kids performed it again at Christmas, and it just kind of stuck, just like it's stuck in my head right now. ♪Jingle bells jingle bells♪

First up Baby, it's Cold Outside. I enjoy this song and it always seems to be a little different depending who's doing the duet. I really like this version with Zoey Deschanel and Leon Redbone.

Ahhh Michael Buble...beautiful just beautiful

And, finally... Andy Williams because it really is The Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

  3. I do not celebrate Xmas and as a result the music of the season doesn't do it for me. Music is a powerful medium and can do so much to set the mood and inspire us.

  7. Cool, fun fact about Jingle Bells! I like learning stuff like this. :D You can't think of Christmas music without thinking Andy Williams. I just love his voice! I'm with you this is my favorite time of the year. I only wish this warm, peaceful sense would linger beyond the season. There are so many unhappy people in the world, if only they could see that Jesus offers hope all year. Let the fun begin! Have a very merry Christmas & thanks for rockin' in the season with the 4M crew!
