I know many people don't like Miley Cyrus, but I do. I like that she is okay in her own skin and is aware of injustice in the world and speaks her mind for what she thinks is right. She gets silly and has fun. I say good for her! I was happy to see her host the MTV Video Music Awards. Plus, I love unicorns, rainbows, and glitter!

The winner of the Video of the Year Award is Taylor Swift with Bad Blood
In general, I was disappointed in the VMAs. It was just okay. There were no "wow" moments, nothing to leave me feeling inspired, but... There were some good performances, although most of them seemed to happen outside with Macklemore, Demi Lovato, and Pharell rocking the stage outside the Orpheum Theater in downtown Los Angeles.
