Songs With Positive Energy #MusicMonday

Happy Monday! I hope your week is off to a great start. Mine is. I had a great relaxing weekend with the family. We went to the museum, the movies, and did some shopping. I also squeezed in some time for homework, and got a decent grade on my Metereology quiz, so all is good.

I just want to keep this positive energy going with some great positive tunes. I hope you find something to inspire you to be You, because there is nobody better! Have a great week full of fabulous moments!

First up is Kacey Musgraves with Follow Your Arrow. I got to see her perform earlier this year, and she was just as good Live. This song comes with a great message reminding us all to just do what makes us happy.

You never know how you can change the world. Just be brave and be you.
Brave by Sara Bareillas

I adore this song! It is such a great reminder to stop worrying about what everybody else thinks. This song speaks to me so much! Here is Secrets by Mary Lambert.

Stadium Song Classics #MusicMonday

Happy Music Monday! Fall is here and so is football season! Let's celebrate with some stadium songs and get our week off to a rockin' good start! These are the songs that get us moving, and get the stadium jumping along. Those stadium games would just not feel the same without them. Get on your feet and let's move!

I have to admit that even though you will hear this at football games, I put it on here because it's also the start of hockey season, and this one is always played at the Lightning games.

Oh, you're unbelievable!

What stadium list would be complete without this gem?! My favorite band, The Rolling Stones with Start Me Up!

I hope you have a musically awesome week!

Train's Newest Album, "Bulletproof Picasso", May Just Be Their Coolest

Train fans will be happy to know that their newest album, Bulletproof Picasso was released today. This is the 7th album from the San Francisco based Grammy winning band, and it does not disappoint.

Bulletproof Picasso has a great collection of songs from the catchy up beat track 1 song,  "Cadillac Cadillac" to the poignant final track, "Don't Grow Up So Fast" a plea to youth to stay young as long as possible, "you don't want to know what I know, yet. Don't grow up too fast."

The first single from the album is "Angel in Blue Jeans". The video for this was shot in the desert with the always awesome, and super cool, Danny Trejo who you might recognize from his many film roles. I think the video is a perfect representation of this song's gritty western rock feel.

I would expect to see a lot of hit singles come from this album because not only do the songs have great lyrics and catchy melodies, but more importantly, they connect with the human emotion. One of my favorite songs on Bulletproof Picasso is "I'm Drinking Tonight". It cries out for release from the pain of heartbreak with the lyric "the only thing stronger than you is whiskey...I hope the poison's the cure." It is passionate songs like this that make this a really cool album from Train.

Bulletproof Picasso is available now on iTunes and Amazon

I participated in the Train Bulletproof Picasso album review program as a member of One2One Network. I was provided a free album to review but all opinions are my own.

Music Monday, A Song to Remind Us That Curves Are Beautiful!

Happy Music Monday!

Are you ready for some new music?!

I have to thank my hubby for introducing me to this song. It has a catchy tune which is sure to get stuck in your head. It's been running around in my head for days now. The thing is it is a fun song, but most importantly, it has a great message! Girls come in all shapes and sizes, and we need to realize that it is okay to have curves. I'm hoping that having this song on the charts will help teen girls get some much needed self love. Let's stop photo shopping women to look a certain way, and realize that we're all perfect the way we are.

Have a fabulous week!

Music Monday, Rocking the Train Off the Tracks as the Spotlight Dancer!

Happy Music Monday! This week is special because I've been selected as the Spotlight Dancer at Monday's Music Moves Me. So, I'm gonna show you my dance moves to this week's theme of train songs, (songs about trains or have a train in them.)

I appreciate the honor, and hope that I don't slip and fall as I make my way to the dance floor. So, I'm gonna start it off with something a little slower with some grooves by Smokestack Lightning.

Kind Snacks Bring Surprisingly Good Flavors With Strong and Kind Bars. #KindAwesome

When Kind Snacks contacted me to send me product samples, I couldn't say "yes" fast enough! I am a huge fan of Kind bars, so I couldn't wait to see what other products they have that I hadn't tried. They didn't disappoint...there were so many new flavors and products for me to try, some of which were very surprising!

When I first started to look for healthier ways to eat, Kind was one of the first things I found. They made me realize that I could be healthy and still have food that tastes good. One of my favorite Kind bars is made with nuts, dark chocolate, and sea salt. It is both sweet and salty, and is packed with healthy protein. It's perfect for a quick snack, and it tastes like I'm eating a candy bar, but without the added taste of guilt.

A peek at my past week in instagram pics

School is back in session, not just for my daughter, but for me, too. Last week was the first night of Intro to Religion class. It looks very interesting and I'm ready to learn! It helps that I have really awesome school supplies. ;)
Skulls go well with everything, even school supplies!

Easy White Cheddar Cauliflower Quinoa Bites Recipe

I love food, but sometimes, deciding what's for dinner is such a chore! I try to make meals that are healthier and flavorful, but they also have to be quick and easy so I can make it after work. Thank goodness for all the great recipes I find on Pinterest! With so many great recipes out there I don't have to worry about having the same old things, and it makes deciding a little more exciting.

My latest inspiration from Pinterest is a White Cheddar Cauliflower Quinoa Bite. I was able to make the quinoa ahead of time. Quinoa can be made in a rice cooker, so that makes it easier. I also cut my cauliflower on the weekend so I can use it during the week in various ways, this was one of them. The ingredients mix together quick and easy, and then just bake for 20 minutes in a mini muffin pan.  I used a tri-color quinoa, but any color will work.

Most importantly, they were DEEEE-licious! The whole family loved them, and that's what really matters!
